Why have an International Business Plan?

If you do not plan to succeed, then you are planning to fail. If you don't create your own plan for your life, someone else will do it for you. Do get what YOU want out of life, you must plan.

Definitely, before you even start your import export business, you must have an International Business or Marketing Plan.

A well written business plan can help you secure needed financing from your bank or apply for a government program. Most importantly, a business plan it is your roadmap to success. It keeps you focused and helps you to stay on track with your original goals.

If you are starting a brand new import export business, then you will need an International Business Plan. However, if you are expanding you existing business, then you will need an International Marketing Plan.

Like most people you may find the thought of writing their own plan very overwhelming, because you don't have the time or expertise to write it quickly. Don't worry. You can start with a template, which is the required structure of a business or marketing plan, and then simply fill in your specific business details.

Remember: Increased Research = Decreased Risk

It is important to remember that if you get the urge to skip some steps because you are tired of investigating all the aspects of your import export venture; you may be increasing your financial and overall business risk. Make your goal to eliminate as much risk as possible. It is the only way to determine if you venture is viable or not.
